I started this program at Nova Southeastern in the fall of 2020 after completing my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Florida State University. I love exploring coffee shops, traveling, and cooking! If I could give you any advice, it is, do not feel the need to compare yourself to anyone else. My directed study involves ways to promote resilience in youth. I was born and raised in South Florida but moved from Palm Beach County to Broward in 2014 to start my academic career at NSU to obtain my bachelor’s degree and now doctorate! My career interests are working with low-income at-risk students in an elementary school or with at-risk children in a nonprofit organization. Some advice I have for incoming students is to be open to any opportunity that comes your way! This program has so many classes, extra curricular’s and practicum experiences that allows you to explore all different kinds of interests!
